We will be exploring Impressionism by visiting the exhibition in San Francisco,
having a lovely lunch at the museum, and the next two days painting
on location at the beautiful Marin Lakes, Bon Tempe and Alpine.
Pastels or oils welcome.

Masterpieces from the Musée d'Orsay: The Birth of Impressionism
The de Young is proud to be the only museum in the world to present two consecutive special exhibitions from the Musée d’Orsay in Paris. The first exhibition, Birth of Impressionism: Masterpieces from the Musée d’Orsay, debuts at the de Young on May 22 and runs through September 6, 2010.

We will be uncovering our natural understanding of space, shape, and movement and discovering our own personal direction in art.
This experience is about opening the door to what your inner artist already knows.
Enjoy the process and stop fixing your work; learn when to quit. 
- Demonstrations, individual attention, and critiques.
- This is a supportive, challenging, non-threatening,
and fun environment.
This class will be open to everyone with the desire to learn drawing and painting.
Drawing mediums and pastels encouraged for beginning students.
For the more advanced students we will be studying pastels, and oils.
